Sakurajima (桜島）
Tashiroshima, Cat Island (田代島,通称：猫の島）
Hi, my name is Thao from PhD program in Humanics. Now I’m belong to neuroscience of sleep lab in IIIS in University of Tsukuba. Studying in Japan gave me a whole life changing that I couldn’t even expect. After 3 years being in Japan, I have experienced so many surprising things in Japan, such as food, stunning place, amazing culture, kind people,… Now here is my travel journal in Japan.
こんにちは。ヒューマニクス博士課程のタオです。
現在は、筑波大学の国際統合睡眠医科学研究機構（IIIS）で、睡眠と神経科学の研究室に所属しています。日本で学ぶことは、私の人生を大きく変える経験となりました。まさか、こんなにも多くの驚きや発見があるとは、来日前には想像もしていませんでした。日本に来て3年が経ち、その間にたくさんの驚くべき体験をしました。
たとえば、美味しい食べ物、美しい場所、素晴らしい文化、そして親切な人々との出会いなどです。
これから、このコラムでは、そんな私の日本での旅の記録をお届けします。
As a cat lover, I went to Tashiroshima, cat Island in Sendai. I was so surprised that the cats so friendly and I could touch cats every where. It’s so unique.
猫好きの私にとって、宮城県仙台の田代島（通称「猫の島」）は外せない場所でした。
行ってみて驚いたのは、猫たちがとても人懐っこくて、どこに行っても触れ合えることでした。本当にユニークで特別な体験でした。
Ishinomaki (石巻）
Ishinomaki close to Tashirojima also an interesting city with a lot of manga pictures and figures. It is so amazing that every city of Japan have its own unique subject to attract tourist.
田代島に近い石巻も、たくさんのマンガのイラストやフィギュアがあって、とても面白い街でした。
日本の街はそれぞれが観光客を惹きつける独自のテーマを持っていて、本当にすごいと思います。
Atami trick art museum in Shizuoka (熱海トリックアートミュージアム、静岡）
In Atami trick art museum in Shizuoka, I got a lot fun with 3D photos. Best place to emerge yourself into the photos.
静岡の熱海トリックアート美術館では、3D写真でたくさん楽しみました。まるで写真の中に入り込んだような体験ができる、最高のスポットです。
Heian Jingu Shrine, Kyoto (京都 平安神宮)
Next is Kyoto. Such a gorgeous place with alot traditional architectures, nature friendly environment. Unforgettable place you should go in Japan.
次は京都です。伝統的な建築がたくさんあり、自然とも調和した、とても美しい場所です。
日本を訪れるなら、絶対に行くべき、忘れられない場所です。
Nara Park and the Deer (奈良公園とシカ)
Close to Kyoto is Nara. There place with a lot of deers. They sold deer food so you can feed deers and play with them. But deers was chasing after me and bit my bag. So be careful. They can bite you and kick you up.‼️
京都の近くにある奈良には、たくさんの鹿がいます。鹿せんべいが売られていて、鹿にエサをあげたり、
一緒に遊んだりすることができます。私が餌上げをしたときは鹿が追いかけてきて、バッグをかじられてしまいました！みなさんも気をつけてくださいね。軽く噛まれたり、ちょっと蹴られたりすることもありますよ！
Sakurajima and kumamoto Castle (桜島と熊本城）
To end this post is Kumamoto and Sakurajima. Kumamoto is one of the famous castle in Japan with the real castle you can explore. And Sakurajima is one of the living volcano in Japan. From the pictures, you still can see the volcano smoke. It was so surprised that local people can find the way to co-exist with it. Living volcano is dangerous, but it also have lot of natural gifts for locals. Like onsen, fertile soil for cultivation. And rather than scary living volcano, Japanese was find out a way to live with it in amazing ways.
この投稿の締めくくりは、熊本と桜島です。
熊本には、日本でも有名なお城のひとつ「熊本城」があり、実際のお城の中を見学することができます。
そして桜島は、日本に現存する活火山のひとつです。写真からも、噴煙が上がっている様子が見られます。
そんな火山のそばで、人々が共に暮らしていることにとても驚きました。
活火山は危険でもありますが、同時に地域に多くの自然の恵みももたらします。たとえば温泉や、作物を育てるのに適した肥沃な土壌などです。日本の人々は、「怖い存在」としてではなく、火山と共存する方法を見つけてきたという、その姿勢が本当に素晴らしいと感じました。
