In 2009, the University of Tsukuba was selected for the Global 30 (G30) Project, an initiative by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) aimed at strengthening internationalization. Since then, the university has been actively enhancing English-based educational programs, improving the English proficiency of Japanese students, and strengthening Japanese language and cultural education for international students. Furthermore, we have continued to expand our global network, promoting overseas activities through university hubs in Asia, including Vietnam, and have recently established new agreements with Ghana and India. Additionally, we have maintained long-standing partnerships with institutions such as the University of São Paulo, University of Bordeaux, and National Taiwan University, sustaining exchange programs under the Campus in Campus (CiC) initiative.
Currently, we have been actively working on initiatives related to programs under the "Support Project for Creating Social Impact through University Internationalization," particularly in preparation for the implementation of GASSHUKU and DOJO. As part of these efforts, we are committed to fostering innovative talent while striving to further expand the reach of Japan's high-quality university education in the field of medicine on a global scale.
Looking ahead, Japan's international environment is expected to undergo further transformation, with globalization progressing at an ever-accelerating pace. In response to this dynamic landscape, our office will work closely with the university's administrative departments to enhance support for students, faculty, and hospital staff. We are committed to developing a flexible and responsive framework that can swiftly adapt to the evolving demands of internationalization. In addition to strengthening daily support operations, we will continue refining our services to provide even higher-quality assistance for international collaborations.
We are now in an era where cross-border partnerships are essential. International Office is dedicated to fostering and supporting medical global activities, and we welcome any constructive feedback or suggestions that may help us improve our services. Thank you for your continued support.

筑波大学は2009年に文部科学省の「国際化拠点整備事業（G30）」に採択され、英語による教育プログラムの充実、日本人学生の英語力向上、留学生への日本語・日本文化教育の強化に取り組んでまいりました。その後も国際的なネットワークの拡充を進め、ベトナムをはじめとするアジア圏の大学拠点を活用した海外活動を積極的に展開し、近年ではガーナやインドとの新規協定も締結いたしました。また、長年にわたり協定を結んでいるサンパウロ大学、ボルドー大学、台湾国立大学などとのCiC（Campus in Campus）間の交換プログラムも継続的に実施しております。
昨今においては、特に「大学の国際化によるソーシャルインパクト創出支援事業」に関連するプログラムにおいて、GASSHUKUとDOJOの実施に向けた取り組みを進めております。その一環として、革新的な人材の育成に努めるとともに、我が国の質の高い大学教育を医学分野においても海外で一層活発に展開できるよう尽力しているところでございます。
今後、日本を取り巻く国際環境はますます変化し、グローバル化が一層加速することが予想されます。そのような状況のもと、本オフィスは医学系事務部門と密接に連携し、学生・教員・病院関係者の皆様への支援を一層充実させ、急速に変容する国際化に柔軟かつ迅速に対応できる体制を整えてまいります。また、日々の支援業務の充実にとどまらず、より質の高い国際連携支援を実現するための体制強化にも努めてまいります。
現代は、国境を越えた連携が不可欠な時代となりました。医学インターナショナルオフィスは、皆様の国際的な活動をより強力に支援してまいりますので、どうぞ建設的なご意見やご要望をお寄せいただけますよう、お願い申し上げます。
